Michael Barber Jr. won the seven-figure prize by playing the “$1,000,000 Merry & Bright," a $5 scratch-off game.
Barber chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.
He said he plans to spend the money on home repairs and travel.
Barber bought the Regal Wine & Spirits at 365 Bay St. in Taunton. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
